LA GRANDE EXPOSITION DU FABRIQUÉ EN FRANCE
Palais de l'Élysée 1er et 2 juillet 2023

Presidential level initiative launched in January 2020, this annual event showcases the businesses, individuals, producers and industries who are fully committed to French manufacturing. Open to the public and free of charge, the event aims to bring to the fore all the stakeholders, communities, companies and citizens who participate in the dynamic commitment towards the industrial and economic sovereignty of France.
This year special emphasis is placed on all production and manufacturing processes that respect the environment, and on social employment structures that contribute to maintaining local/regional know-how and economic development

125 products 100% made-in-France coming from all over France and its overseas territories will be on display at the Élysée Palace.
Of the 2500 entries vying to represent the Morbihan area, the national selection jury chose the COMET surf board.

Thierry Verneuil, CEO - Tahe Outdoors France
“We are honoured to have been selected to represent Morbihan at the Elysée Palace for this « Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France ». This is a unique opportunity to spread the word about our industrial know-how and social commitment to the local area. It’s also a recognition of the great work that is done every day by the hundred or so employees at our main production facility in Vannes and the specialist injection/moulding unit in Merpins, near Cognac. The surf board itself is the fruit of over 40 years of acquired knowledge, of investment in our manufacturing processes, and our capacity to constantly innovate and review/re-new our company and products.”
FOCUS ON THE COMET SURF
Creating a resin- and solvent-free, recyclable surfboard was a challenge. The COMET is fully manufactured in Vannes, France. Thanks to Tough-Tec technology, it's built to last, to guarantee endless play time on the water. It doesn't generate waste during the production process and can be fully recycled at the end of its life. This board is ideal for progression and for eco-conscious surfers who don't want to compromise on performance. It features STELLAR fins are recyclable and made from recycled fishing net.
A practical and sustainable approach, rewarded by the "Eco-conception" award at the Eco-Sports Awards in 2022.
FOCUS ON THE STELLAR FINS
Stellar fins are the result of a partnership between our research & development teams in France Vannes ( France), the Brest-based firm Fil & Fab*, and our injection factory located in Merpins, (France). Without sacrificing performance, these fins lower our impact by approximately 80% compared to fins traditionally produced in Asia.
Eco-designed, Stellar fins are 100% made in France, from harvesting to the finished product. Fishing nets are collected and recycled in Brest. They are crushed and then they are transformed into nylon pellets: Nylo®.
These fins are entirely recyclable at the end of their life
