The Kalao is quite the 4x4 of the kayak world. Equally at ease on the sea, rivers or for fun, it’s an ideal kayak for all near shore adventures with family and friends.
The fluid, stable hull design makes it simple for a family of two adults and two children to all ride together in comfort. That makes it the first true 3 (adults) person Sit-On-Top on the market, with 3 proper ergonomic seats. Essentially, the Kalao combines capacity of the old style family canoe, with the safety of a Sit-On-Top kayak! The other big first : it can be adapted to take an electric motor.
The largely flat hull design with very little water draught is extremely stable and allows the kayak to go almost anywhere. Such aspects as storing your belongings while kayaking, as well as carrying and transporting your kayak have all also received detailed attention.

Handling & Delivery Times
Large items are processed and dispatched from our warehouse within 24 to 48 hours (1–2 business days). Transit time typically takes between 3 to 7 business days depending on your destination within the contiguous 48 US states. (Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and PO boxes cannot be processed online and require manual entry and a custom freight quote via customer service).
Tracking & Delivery Appointments
Once your freight leaves our warehouse, a tracking link will be provided to monitor your shipment. Deliveries occur Monday through Friday only. Because of the size of these products, the carrier may contact you in advance to schedule a specific delivery window, and an adult signature is required upon receipt.
Packaging & Split Shipments
Stand-up paddleboards are securely packed in their original boxes reinforced with an extra heavy-duty outer carton. Kayaks are securely packed in their original plastic packaging. Dinghies ship strapped to a dedicated 72x48 pallet. For multi-item orders, oversized goods ship individually with separate tracking numbers.
Reception & Mandatory Inspection
You must thoroughly inspect the condition and contents of your shipment before the driver leaves. If the item or packaging shows obvious damage, refuse the delivery immediately or write "Damaged" explicitly on the Bill of Lading (BOL) / delivery receipt before signing. If items are missing, note this clearly on the BOL. Any shipping damage or missing piece must be reported to our customer service team within 7 days.
Returns & Restocking Fees
Damaged freight should be refused at drop-off. For standard, non-defect returns, items must be unopened and in their original packaging, returned at your expense, and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Tracking & Delivery Schedule
As soon as your parcel is on its way, you will receive tracking information to follow the delivery online. Deliveries run Monday through Friday, and no scheduled appointment is required for smaller packages.
Packaging & Consolidation
Multiple small items and accessories ordered together are consolidated and shipped in suitably sized boxes under a single shipment tracking reference.
Receiving Your Parcel
Please verify that your parcel has arrived intact and that the items inside match your order confirmation. If an item is damaged or missing, note it on the delivery record if applicable, refuse the parcel if heavily crushed, and contact our support team within 7 days to initiate a claim.
Returns & Replacements
If an accessory arrives damaged, contact us promptly for a resolution. For standard returns of new, unused items in their original packaging, return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer and a 15% restocking fee will apply.
