The next O’pen Skiff European Championships will take place in Barcelona from October 24 to 31, 2025. For many young sailors, this event will be the perfect opportunity to compete one last time before the winter break and the start of the 2026 season.
"The European World Championship"
Since they couldn’t take part in the Worlds held this summer in Japan, many European racers have chosen to sign up for this competition, which promises to be a true “European World Championship”.
Nearly 180 participants from 10 nations are already confirmed in the U13 and U17 categories, and about twenty more registrations are expected before the event begins.
The Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC), a prestigious host of the 2024 America’s Cup and many international regattas, will host this major event on the O’pen Skiff calendar. This championship also represents one of the highlight stages of the 2025 French O’pen Tour. The French team will have the largest number of participants, with nearly 60 racers registered: once again confirming the enthusiasm of young French sailors for the discipline.
