2025 O'pen Skiff World Championships… Off To Japan!
This year, the O'pen Skiff World Championship will take place in Nishinomiya, Japan, from July 16 to 23. With already about 100 registrants from over ten different nationalities, the event promises to be a memorable one.

THE NISHINOMIYA BAY AS A SETTING
Nestled between Kobe and Osaka, Nishinomiya Bay enjoys a rich natural environment with mountains, rivers and the Osaka Sea, offering varied wind conditions.
It is the ideal setting for a major regatta, which also promises to be a great moment of cultural exchange, sharing experiences, and collective memories for all young sailors present.
THE O'PEN SKIFF, THE YOUTH FAVORITE DINGHY
For a week, the young racers will battle it out on the Japanese swell to win titles in the three age classes U12, U15, U17.
Combining fun, freestyle and top-level regatta, the innovative O'pen Skiff dinghy concept has been designed with the pleasure of sailing in mind. A challenge taken up! Every year, hundreds of young sailors meet up at different spots around the globe to compete and have fun.

A NOT-TO-BE-MISSED CHAMPIONSHIP
In regattas, the O'pen Skiff has also shaken up the world of sailing. The event style is very original, with some highly innovative courses and race rules derived from funboarding, where races are short and quick. The course changes regularly and can include crosswind legs and freestyle moves or an adventure race.
The steady annual growth of the Events’ Calendar is proof that the Class’s formula of providing exciting race formats on an attractive boat is a great success.
This championship in Japan promises great moments of sport and sharing, a unique event to experience!
